| Remember
the Good Old Days? |
|
Do you remember those endless days of Summer, playing football until the sun
was long gone, ice creams melting before you could eat them in the scorching
heat? And what about those Winters; snow piled so high you could scarcely see
out the window?
You remember the good old days, the time when all your neighbours used to say
hello in the morning, and whistle on their way to work.
The time when the most important thing
in the world was that you managed to convince your mum
that an ice-cream was essential, before the van disappeared
around the corner. Those bliss filled days of childhood
when the world was a much, much better place and there
was always something to watch on the telly. You do? Good,
because that's what we're all about here at WWWK.
Let us take you on a magical trip back
into that special time. Of course, that time was different
for all us, so we've covered off a good 60 years here
to try and ensure that we've captured the correct "good
old days" just for you!

Humbugs Anyone? |

Remember starting up with awestruck
eyes at the vast array of brightly coloured sweets stacked
right up to the ceiling in the days when E numbers were
unheard of?
I'm sure we've also all heard about how our parents used to go to the cinema,
drink 14 pints and still had enough change out of two bob (whatever a bob was!)
for a bag of chips on the way home, so now you can check if they were lying
or not with our great cost of living indicator! This neat toy gives you the
real cost of living for the year of your choice. Click
Here to give it a go.
And what about those fish and chips? The fish were huge, the chips were much
better than that rubbish you get nowadays, cooked in real lard, none of that
vegetable oil muck!
And don't even get us started on this rubbish they call music nowadays. Remember
when music used to sound like music, when songs had a rhythm and you could
hear the words.
Ah, those were the days... And here they are again right now. Well, as much
as we can drag out about them from our fuddled old brains. Enjoy what you find
here and don't forget to share your own special memories in the WWWK forums. |
