Natalie Jane Imbruglia is an Australian singer-songwriter, model and actress. Natalie started her career in television at age 17, acting, until 1994, in the Australian television series Neighbours.
In 1997, Natalie recorded her debut album “Left of The Middle” in Los Angeles, which proved a huge success with more than seven million disks sold throughout the world. Her first single “Torn” put Natalie in the limelight, establishing her as an international star.
In November 2001, Natalie released her second album “White Lilies Island”, written between England and the US, and recorded in London with a string of prestigious producers (Ian Stanley, Gary Clark, Phil Thornally and Pascal Gabriel).
Parallel to an international singing career, Natalie Imbruglia made her 2003 movie debut opposite Rowan Atkinson alias Mister Bean and John Malkovich in Peter Howitt’s feature film Johnny English.
After her experience on screen, Natalie returned to the music scene with a new album “Counting Down the Days”, released in May 2005, which resulted in a concurrent #1 album and a #1 single with Ivor Novello Award nominated “Shiver”.
In September 2007, Natalie released a retrospective singles collection in the UK which was a Top 5 hit on the album chart, and included the hit single “Glorious”. The sales of the album took Natalie’s total album sales over 10 million units, and over 3 million singles sales in her career so far. |
