Biography

Roy Skelton is a British actor and voice artist, whose voice may be more familiar than his name. He has provided the voices for many characters on British television for nearly fifty years, most notably the Daleks on Doctor Who from 1967 to 1988 (though he has played numerous other characters and voices on the same programme).

Other famous characters were those of both Zippy and George on childrens TV favourite, Rainbow.

In 2002, he guest-starred in Sarah Jane Smith: Test Of Nerve, an audio drama produced by Big Finish Productions. In January 2008 he appeared as Zippy in the BBC One series Ashes to Ashes.
