Angela Griffin appeared in the popular long-running British soap operas, Emmerdale and most famously, Coronation Street as Fiona Middleton from 1993 to 1998.
Subsequently she joined the original cast of the BBC medical drama series Holby City as Staff Nurse Jasmine Hopkins but left at the end of Series 3 in 2001 as she did not want to stick around due to a huge increase of episode numbers with the forthcoming Series. She has also appeared in the BBC dramas Cutting It and Down To Earth.
In October 2001, she presented a programme on the UK's Channel 4 on the subject of mixed race people in British society.
In 2006 she appeared as a teacher, alongside former Cutting It co-star Jason Merrells in the BBC school drama series Waterloo Road.
In an interview published in the Daily Express Magazine on 1 March 2008, she revealed that she will be back for the fourth series.
Angela also provides the voice of Amy, the vet in children's television show Postman Pat |
