Sean Gilder is an English actor best-known for playing Paddy Maguire in the popular show, "Shameless", and as Styles on "Hornblower". Gilder also appeared as "Leslie Johns" on the final episode of Life on Mars.

He has also appeared in Doctor Who (as the Sycorax Leader) as well as New Tricks, Gangs of New York, and the 2005 film, King Arthur, which starred Keira Knightley and Ray Winstone. He also took a small role in "Mike Bassett: England Manager" as one of the journalists.

In March 2008 Sean also appeared as Paddy's gay twin brother Noel in Shameless, however in a trick to viewers, Noel was credited as being played by Neil Grades, an anagram of Sean Gilder.
