Stephanie Beacham was brought
up in Hertfordshire, England. She studied
ballet from the age of four and later mime
in Paris with Etienne de Creux before training
at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in
London.
Her extensive career, which encompasses
film, theatre and television, has earned
her much success on both sides of the Atlantic
including nominations for a Golden Globe
(for Sister Kate) and a People's Choice
Award (The Colbys).
While maintaining home
and career in both London and Los Angeles,
Stephanie also continues her work as spokesperson
for the American Speech, Language and Hearing
Association, serves on the Board of Directors
for Free Arts for Abused Children and is
associated with the Tinnitus Society of
Great Britain.
She has two daughters, Phoebe
and Chloe and a grandson, Jude.
