60's TV Prog

Can't Post

Please help me! Can anyone remember a late 60's television show? Thats all that I am positive about, it was the 1960's and it was on TV. It was about two jet fighter pilots, possibly French or Israeli, flying mirage aircraft. It was possibly dubbed into English and it was in Black & White. Come to think of it, that was lucky cause so was the telly. I was very young (4 ish) but it has stuck in my mind ever since.

The programme you are stuck on is "The Aeronauts" which featured the exploits of French pilots Michel Tanguy and Ernest Laverdure who flew with Swan Squadron based in Dijon. The two characters featured in numerous books first published in France during the 50s, and when a TV adaption was made there in the 60s it proved a huge success. It was shown on BBC television between 1972-74

Thats brilliant, thanks very much. I was beginning to think that the rest of the world was: a/ Lying about their age b/ Terminally short of memory c/ Going mad. or simply that I had made the whole episode up in some bizarre 60's style, rusk induced hallucination.
