Opal Fruits were soft, chewy fruit flavoured sweets that were famously advertised to "make your mouth water" in the commercials.

There's good news on this one though. While Opal Fruits disappeared from our sweet shops in the late nineties, they didn't actually disappear at all, they just got renamed (like the Marathon bar). So you can still buy Opal Fruits today, they're just called Starburst!

Opal Fruits originally came in 4 flavours, Strawberry, Orange, Lemon and Lime but over time this range has been messed about with and nowadays there's a dazzling array of Starburst flavours available.

The closest you'll find to the orginal Opal Fruits sweets are the Starburst Original Fruit Chews, which have the same flavours as Opal Fruits, except that they have cherry in place of the lime flavour.
