“In Like Flynn” is most commonly thought to be a reference to movie star Errol Flynn, an actor who had something of a reputation in Hollywood as a hard-drinking, hell-raising ladies' man. His sexual prowess was the stuff of legends so to be “In Like Flynn” would often be used in relation to sexual conquest.

The variation of the term to be “In like Flint”, may be traceable to the movie, “In Like Flint” (1967) which was a sequel to the earlier film,”Our Man Flint”.
